Description
Follow itinerary nr. 15 until you get to the “Dead city”, where you have to turn left and cross the Quarazza river to then go up in the woods to the Alpe Quarazzola di Sotto and then Quarazzola di Sopra, where you can see some important remains of the “gold searching” time.
A steep trail, which goes on the ridge of a slope and should only be done by expert walkers, leads to the summit (2564 mt), on the crest that separates the valley with the municipality of Carcoforo, in the Valsesia valley.
A headstone lies here in the memory of Carlo Genoni, whom this trail is dedicated.
